Happy New Years from AZ!

 Good evening from gorgeous Arizona! So I can't deny that I had my trepidations about what we would find when we moved here. Well it's the last day of December, it was about 75 degrees today and we found that there is a beautiful National Park about 10 minutes away from our house. We had an amazing day driving the loop around the park and making stops to let the kids climb on the rocks. We got our stuff delivered  yesterday with literally zero issue so we all have a place to sleep now and we are slowly figuring out how to organize our new home. It's been an absolute godsend to have my niece here as she's been able to watch the kids as Bubs and I have made about 20 trips per day to the local Ace Hardware store (yay projects!). We have yet to meet our neighbors, which is a little strange to me as we've been in and out of the house since Friday. Back home, every newcomer is swarmed by every well wisher and busy body--multiple times. But we can give that time--right now I've got two kids who swear they want to stay up until midnight, one niece who will probably make it, 3 dogs who are already terrified of the small mount of fireworks that have gone off, and one husband to smooch at midnight!

    I know Cali is big but how are you doing Juan? From what we hear in Sweden it sounds really bad even though our newspapers mainly report on celebrity houses burning up. Fires do not discriminate and as you pointed out Californa is more than the Pacific Palisades

I found my husband's blog post that made us reddit "famous"--one year ago today. Here it is (with my comments).

Like so many of my posts--this one deals with sexual assault, please read with caution if that may bother you! This is also a long one--sorry in advance! Today marks the one-year anniversary of my husband making a Reddit post that would change our lives forever. And yes, that’s a dramatic way to start a blog—but it’s not untrue. I’m not “internet famous” in the way someone becomes after a drunken outburst on an airplane or a viral TikTok dance—not even close. I think we are having a baby today--getting this all out now so we can go the hospital in peace.

 So here we are April 13th--I woke up this morning having pretty severe contractions. Only this time they are pretty regular. We are timing them and they are lasting for about 30 seconds and coming every 10-15 minutes or so. My OB wants me to head in when they start to happen every five minutes. I think we are going to have a baby today.  I don't want to go to the hospital mad at my husband and even I am tired of fighting with him. So I am going to write this all out, hit the publish button and do my damndest to let it go. I have to admit that I don't fight fair with Bubs and if I were to give in to my irrational thinking, I could be upset with him as I'm delivering a baby. I don't want to bring our new child into the world like that.
