Can I get your help?
So as my husband has a near melt down over a baseball game and has been near catatonic for the last hour, I'm hoping to get your help. Since all he can say is "If they blow it, I'm done. If they blow it, I'm done" would you all mind clicking this link and seeing if you can see my post on reddit?

I'm so sorry the comments on my last blog post seem so messed up! I'm willing to give reddit another shot but I want to make sure it works! Thank you!
Bubs can relax now
ReplyDeleteI think this is LA Dodgers winning the "world" series?
DeleteYou are live on Reddit for now, but make sure you keep copies of anything you post, including anything that was published as Danniynnad.
ReplyDeleteI understand why Bubs used old reddit, but why, as a reddit newcomer, did you?
ReplyDeleteCongratulation Bubs! As you can tell I love baseball. Unfortunately I don't pay attention to MLB anymore. The game has gotten so slow with all pitching changes. I googled last night and for the entire 2024 regular season there were only 28 complete games out of roughly 2400 games less that 2%. I recently saw a video of the 9th inning of game 7 of the 1968 World Series Cardinals vs Tigers. Both Bob Gibson and Mickey Lolich threw complete games. Both teams scored a run, and the inning took 10 minutes. Tigers won 4 - 1.
ReplyDeleteI do watch college baseball. Living in Nashville, Vanderbilt has been good for a long time and gets a lot of attention. This year my Tennessee Vols won it all. They have put on a 20 second pitch clock (not sure if it is a trial or permanent) which helps move the game along. I was watching a CWS Championship game a couple of years ago. Vanderbilt vs Virginia. The UVa coach was calling pitches from the dugout (ought to be banned). He would wait 30-45 seconds between pitches to start the next call. His intent obviously was to slow down the game. I looked during the 6th inning. The score was 1 - 0 and they had been playing 3 1/2 hours.
That is a big part of the problem with youth sports. Coaches and players see that stuff and try to imitate it. Thus the kids and parents (Dani) think they need all the unnecessary gear.
Congratulations again!
I'm happy some of you seem to worry more about baseball than the election. Somehow it makes me hopefull.
ReplyDeleteSo Dani, How are you feeling?
ReplyDeleteI'll try crossposting. Had a few days break so I came up with a few request/suggestions. Why teaching and what in teaching is it that attracts you. I get the feeling somehow that the ordinary Dani who write the posts I read and the teacher Dani feel like somewhat two different people. I know you semi avoided going in to the whole charter school thing on one post.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing that fascinates me is the whole AdHD thing. I mean I have a big ego and I can se how it to some extent control my decisions and I do try to be a better and more humble person to my surrounding. At the same time that whole ego thing does have it's advantages. A psychologist once said she believed I had ADHD but she said She would need more time to do a thorough investigation. Your decisions sometimes seem hard to understand and your thought process sometimes appears chaotic/irrational/passionate/maybe even a bit self centered. I have no idea. I only know that I would like to understand what it is like when you end up in those situations.
Many others have pointed out that your reaction to Bubs spiraling when you got home was weird. You even used words like affair and i think infidelity to describe your own actions when you must have known that was not correct. You seemed to accept that you were possibly heading for divorce when we now feel you have a very good loving marriage that I think many people would be envious of.
Final question. Sorry Dani but I have to ask. As a swede the amount of american election coverage in my country is insane. Reddit is full of it. You live in texas.Has it affected you and your family in anyway.
